The Blood of His Cross

“…elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, in sanctification of the Spirit, for obedience and sprinkling of the Blood of Jesus Christ:” 1 Peter 1:2 NKJV

“For it pleased the Father that in Him all the fullness should dwell, and by Him to reconcile all things to Himself, by Him, whether things on earth or things in heaven, having made peace through the blood of His cross.” Colossians 1:19-20 NKJV

“So spacious is He, so roomy, that everything of God finds it proper place in Him without crowding. Not only that, but all the broken and dislocated pieces of the universe, people and things, animals and atoms, get properly fixed and fit together in vibrant harmonies, all because of His death, His Blood that poured down from the cross.” Colossians 1:20 The Message

“Not with the blood of goats and calves, but with His own Blood He entered the Most Holy Place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption.” Hebrews 9:12 NKJV

“And they overcame him by the Blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.” Revelation 12:11 NKJV

“But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.” Isaiah 53:5 NKJV

“Whom God put forward [before the eyes of all] as a mercy seat and propitiation by His Blood [the cleansing and life giving sacrifice of atonement and reconciliation to be received] through faith…” Romans 3:25 Amplified

  • We are to be ministers of reconciliation.

“But all things are from God, who through Jesus Christ reconciled us to Himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation that by word and deed we might bring others into harmony with Him.” 2 Corinthians 5:8 Amplified

  • We have the power to reconcile—One way is through the Blood of Jesus according to Colossians 1:20
  • When we intercede for others with the precious reconciling Blood of Jesus—we are acting in love and exhibiting our faith in His work on the cross for others.
  • Whenever you encounter situations of strife or tension, hold up the Blood of Jesus in prayer to reconcile the situation in His will and in His way.

About hisfool

I am a pilgrim on a journey, one which I pray leads to the day when I stand before the throne of God and hear "Well Done!" Along the way I have encountered good times and bad, been wounded and healed, fallen only to rise again. It does not make me any better, but perhaps, it makes me a little wiser and I pray a little more compassionate.
